The Mekong River running through the Indo-China Peninsula is the representative mega-river in Southeast Asia. The basin originate in Tibetan mountains of China, and includes other five countries, Myanmer, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.

Upon embarkation on your sampan you will be welcomed by our crew. After your installation, the cruise will begin with the visit of some local home factories where you will be able to observe how rice paste, coconut candies and other specialties are traditionally made. We will then proceed to Cai Be colorful floating market, cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables.

Mekong Delta, a big southern part of Vietnam, is a fruitful place for all year round with Vietnamese orchard gardens and rice fields stretching all the way to Cambodia. Numerous of Rivers and Cannals that enrich the land with its deposits and fertile soils carried all the from China, Laos, Cambodia to Vietnam. A trip to Mekong wonder through Mekong river and its small canals to local family, floating markets will show you much of what Vietnam and her people in cultures and more. Having our head quarters based in Phu An/Cai Lay (next to Cai Be, Tien Giang Province), we operate cruises and related tours services in the Mekong Delta using our own built sampans, all stylishly designed and inspired by ancient authentic traditional indochinese river boats.

You will then return on board Cai Be Princess to proceed the excursion to Dong Hoa Hiep island located between Vinh Long and Cai Be during a 40 minutes cruise to discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong delta rural life.

Upon embarkation on Cai Be Princess boat, clients are welcomed with fresh cotton towels. The tour will begin with the visit of some local home factories such as rice paste making, rice pop corn, coco candies, longans drying processing. We will proceed by cruising through Cai Be colourfull floating market among local barges full of fruits and vegetables...

Upon embarkation on Cai Be Princess junk boat, clients are welcomed with fresh rolled cotton towels. The cruise will start crossing the wide Co Chien river, one the largest arm of the Mekong river. We will enter Dong Phu canal, passing along An Binh and Binh Hoa Phuc green islands famous for their fruits orchards plantations.

Cai Be Princess will reach her pier at around 3 pm. You will then be able to get some refreshments at La Residence de Phu An, a superb two storeys indochine house located in a beautiful garden by the river, decorated with rare antiques and furnitures from the 1930’.

Back on cruise, we will reach Sa Dec at around 1.00pm. After a cruise along narrow canals, we will disembark at the local market place near by the river. A visit of Sa Dec charming and peaceful ancient town will be done by walk along its small typical streets. We will visit old chinese temples, catholic church and ancient indochinese houses dating from the past century, including the former residence of Marguerite Duras famous writer and the primary school

Cai Be Princess will cruise deeper into the country side along smaller canals and arroyos. Visits on the river banks will allow you to discover some fruit markets and plantations such as bananas, water melon, coconuts, longans, where you will be able to have friendly contacts with the local population. While cruising, a delicious set lunch will be served to you on board.
